Itinerary

Arrival at the Kigali International Airport, meet and greet with the guide and give you a short briefing about the trip. Transfer to the Hotel, check in and acclimatize to the climate of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at Mille Collines hotel

Breakfast at the hotel later start the Kigali city exploration. Get to learn more about Rwanda from the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial era as well as Genocide times. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial where over 259,000 Genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves.
Visit Kandt house, the first German explore who settled in Kigali. Get to learn more about Rwanda history especially during colonial time by Germans.
Visit the Campaign against Genocide museum. This museum tells part of the many Rwanda’s sad stories of the yesteryears, of despair, struggling to free a people from the yoke of subjugation, the efforts and the sacrifices that were suffered and written during the time of rescuing the Tutsi from the strangling hands of Interahamwe; the campaign that was started from the parliament buildings and became successful, a “Campaign Against Genocide” (CAG Museum) was built in the parliamentary compound.
End the day at the Question Coffee to taste the pure Rwandan coffee produced by women in cooperative. Dinner and overnight at Mille Collines hotel

Morning pick up at the hotel and transfer to Akagera National Park – arrival at the park reception for briefing later start a short game drive in search for different animals such as the 5 big 5 animals i.e; lions, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes and leopard. Drive to the lodge for check-in and lunch.
Afternoon drive to Lake Ihema for the boat cruise to see different wildlife including giant Nile crocodiles, schools of hippos, different species of water birds and many more. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge

Early morning breakfast at the lodge then start a full day game drive in the park, get to see over 12 species of antelopes, over 525 species of birds including the rare ones such as the shoe bill stock, papyrus gonolek and the big 5 i.e. Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant) to name but a few.
The park has the highest concentration of birds per square kilometer, very beautiful undulating landscapes, high species numbers and endemic species plus historical and cultural sites inside the park. You will have enough water on board and picnic lunch box.
Drive back to Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Discover Rwanda Mille Collines hotel

After breakfast drive to Nyungwe forest enroute visit the King’s palace in Nyanza and traditional Rwanda homes. Proceed to Butare where there the Ethnographic museum (it used to be the Rwanda National Museum) is located, very big museum rich in history. You get to explore how Rwandans lived, their dressing, cooking, entertaining methods, etc.

Lunch followed by the drive to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel

Early morning (4am) breakfast at the hotel then drive to the Park reception for the briefing and grouping followed by the tracking of chimpanzees. Lunch at the hotel and refreshment.

Afternoon visit the famous canopy walk way, a 70 m high artificial bridge. One of its kind in East Africa, get to see the beautiful views of the thick forest and different bird species at the crown of the trees. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel

Breakfast then return to the park reception for briefing and grouping then start the hike to the beautiful waterfall. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel

Breakfast then drive to drive to Kibuye at Lake Kivu. The Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze.
Lunch at the hotel as you enjoy the views of the Lake. Transfer to the shores of the Lake Kivu to enjoy a boat ride to visit the Napoleon and Amahoro Islands to see a number of colorful birds, clouds of big fruit bats, learn the history of the lake and the beautiful views of the Lake surroundings. Overnight at Cormoran lodge

Breakfast at the hotel start the visit to the Genocide memorial church where many Tusti killed expecting that no one will kill them in the house of God. Later visit the famous Nyange school where students were killed during Genocide after refusing to divide themselves into Tutsis and Hutus. Overnight at Cormoran lodge

Breakfast and drive to Volcanoes National Park. Arrival, check in at the hotel and have lunch. Afternoon visit the Buhanga eco-park, a very rich forest in terms of history. That is the place where all Rwandan Kings were initiated. Dinner and overnight at Classic lodge

After breakfast return to the park to trek the few population and rare golden monkeys. Afternoon visit the beautiful twin Lakes – Burera and Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight at Classic lodge

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and grouping later start the hike to the Mount Bisoke which has a crater lake at its top. Get to see beautiful fauna and flora and may get chance to spot some animals such as; forest elephant.
Or do the nature walk to the Dain Fossey tomb and her favorite gorilla Digit.
Be back at the base and drive to the hotel. Lunch and rest, Dinner and overnight at Classic lodge

Breakfast followed by the drive back to Kigali and to Airport. END OF SERVICE!
